As renewable energy project developers, we first must evaluate the obvious project feasibility factors: wind, solar and renewable resources, landowner motivation, transmission or gas line proximity and available capacity, road access, environmental and archeological impacts, community reception, radar impacts and motivated off takers. With these initial considerations we select project sites and negotiate terms in order to execute lease agreements that are financially viable to all parties.
We use a team of consultants through the development process. Ken Starcher of the Alternative Energy Institute at West Texas A&M University who is a previous AWEA board member and forty plus year veteran of the wind energy industry. Joel Howard is a corporate attorney with wind industry financial closings representing land owners, developers, owner/operators as well as off takers. West Environmental Engineers are industry leaders in fatal flaw analysis and environmental surveying. Simon Wind is an industry leader in wind data analysis and financial modeling. DNV Solutions consults and assists in the interconnection process.
Because of successful networking and a good reputation, land owners are regularly contacting Tylan Shelton and Big Sky Wind Energy requesting the development of additional renewable energy projects. We enter into non-exclusive joint development agreements with wind project developers, private equity investors and strategic partners. |
