As wind project developers, we first must evaluate the obvious project feasibility factors: wind characteristics, landowner motivation, transmission line proximity, road access, environmental concerns, receptive community, radar impacts and motivated off takers. With these initial considerations we select project sites and negotiate land owner benefits in order to execute lease agreements that are financially viable.

We use a team of consultants through the development process. Dr. Vaughn Nelson and Ken Starcher of the Alternative Energy Institute are previous AWEA board members and forty year veterans of the wind energy industry. Joel Howard is a corporate attorney with wind industry financial closings on behalf of land owners, developers, operators as well as off takers. West Environmental Engineers are industry leaders in fatal flaw analysis and environmental surveying. Simon Wind is an industry leader in wind data analysis and financial modeling. PWR Solutions consults and assists in the interconnection process.

Because of successful networking and a good reputation, land owners are regularly contacting Tylan Shelton and Big Sky Wind Energy requesting the development of additional wind projects. We enter into non-exclusive joint development agreements with wind project developers, private equity investors and strategic partners.
